Tour & Taxis residential quarter, Brussels,
Belgium, 2016-2025

A consortium formed by Sergison Bates, AWG and noAarchitecten won the competition for the development of a residential district on the former industrial Tour & Taxis site in Brussels.

The ambition is to create both a new urban residential neighbourhood of approximately 900 homes within close proximity to Brussels city centre to the south, and a new public park to the north. A series of distinct, varied spaces are sited along a broad public avenue known as the Dreef that runs parallel to the 275m facade of the historical Gare Maritime. Residential buildings are organised around public courtyards and private shared gardens.
