This project for re-purposing and re-inhabitation three derelict 19th century dairy buildings is located in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The site is located in a designated area of outstanding beauty in Uploders, close to Bridport in Dorset.

Occupying one part of the ensemble, the holiday let shares the material palette of repaired stonework, cedar boarding and aluminium sundries with the adjacent workshops. It also extends the fabric of the dairy with a new timber framed and clad volume.

Of the three volumes, residents are offered the broadest views of farmland on all sides, and a long view to the iron age fort of Eggardon Hill. Visible from across the farmland, the extension is designed to compliment the surrounding community of agricultural buildings. Unlike its neighbours it is lined to provide greater comfort and protection from the exposed landscape.
