High Beach villa, Epping Forest,
UK, 2020-2024

Drawing from a noble agrarian culture, the proposal allows for activity and living outside. The house and its adjacent volumes, and spaces, are imagined as a set of internal and external rooms; interconnected and part of a working ensemble.

The robust form of the house is anchored to the ground with small appendages; a bay towards the forest, an entrance building on the courtyard side and a sun room to the west.

The internal arrangement of the house creates a direct relationship between internal and external spaces, extending one to the other seamlessly.
