The brief involves the renovation of the educational infrastructure housing the Business and Digital departments, and the building of a new Business Hub for Hogeschool PXL in Hasselt. Our approach encompasses sustainability, reuse and phasing to radically transform the existing buildings through a process of addition and adaptation, unlocking and enhancing their hidden potential rather than starting anew.A new extension is added to the existing L-shaped building thus creating a large rectangular volume with a courtyard on the second floor, while the new facade envelops new and existing buildings to create a powerful new whole.
