Versailles residential quarter, Paris,

This scheme for five apartment buildings is set within a landscaped garden and forms part of a new residential quarter. The ambition of the development is to address environmental and social challenges on a special site formerly occupied by the Pion barracks, adjacent to the Château de Versailles.

The masterplan by Lambert Lenack is inspired by the principles of the Garden City. A low-rise community of buildings - shops, schools, and sports and leisure facilities - are complemented by generous public spaces and surrounded by parkland. The project aims to provide a prototype for similar future developments in France.
