Koen Schaballie

Koen joined Sergison Bates architects in 2018 as a project architect, having previously worked for other practices in London and Brussels. He holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and civil engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven and followed the post-graduate course in professional studies (Part 3) at the Bartlett in London.

Koen has a particular interest in the technical aspects of design and construction and has been leading the Tour & Taxis development in Brussels for the past five years, from submitting the planning applications to the completion of the first three residential buildings totalling 149 units in 2022. Four more buildings totalling 101 flats are currently on site under his supervision. He is also project lead for the SD Worx headquarters, a complex office building on a site overlooking the river Schelde in Antwerp.
