Mark Tuff at the opening of the Quartiers de Demain exhibition in Paris

The event, launched by President Emmanuel Macron was the culmination of an 11 month long competitive process in which 30 teams developed proposals for 10 neighbourhoods across France with a view to transforming them in a socially and environmentally sustainable way through strategies of retention, rehabilitation and the circular construction economy.

Working in collaboration with HBAAT↗, we developed proposals for the Langevin apartment building in Caen that sought to value the 21st century heritage of the original 1957 architecture whilst bringing a contemporary understanding of community and social cohesion together with privacy and amenity to give the building a renewed relevance in the city.
