SBa shortlisted for St. Catherine’s College, Cambridge competition

We are delighted to have been selected for the second stage of the competition to redevelop and reconfigure St Catherine’s College.
One of the oldest members of the University of Cambridge, the college is prominently located on Trumpington Street and has a unique three-sided court that dates back to the seventeenth century, designed by Robert Grumbold, an associate of Sir Christopher Wren.
The brief invites competitors to devise solutions to the technical and practical issues of reconfiguring formal and informal spaces distributed across a tightly constrained site that has absorbed a succession of architectural styles as the College has grown and flourished over the past 300 years.
The winning scheme will be announced in early summer 2019.
