SBa shortlisted for Citroën Museum competition, Brussels

We are delighted to have been shortlisted with NoAarchitecten and EM2N to develop a proposal for the conversion of the Citroën Yser garage into a new cultural centre and art museum. The 35,000-square-metre 1930’s factory sited next to the Canal in the centre of Brussels will house a contemporary art museum associated with the Centre Pompidou in Paris, a centre for architecture and a range of multi-functional public spaces.
The competition is organised by the Brussels Urban Development Corporation and aspires to make this new cultural centre both a lever for the development of an urban area undergoing rapid regeneration and a showcase that will raise the profile of the EU’s capital.
