SBa, noA and awg team win Tour and Taxis competition

A consortium formed by Sergison Bates architects, AWG and noAarchitecten has won the competition for the development of a residential area on the former industrial Tour & Taxis site in Brussels. The ambition for the project is to create a new uran residential neighbourhood of approximately 900 homes within close proximity of the city centre to the south, and a new park to the north.
A series of distinct, varied spaces are created along a broad public avenue known as the Dreef that runs parallel to the 275m facade of the historical Gare Maritime, with residential buildings organised around public courtyards and private shared gardens. Work is scheduled to commence on site in January 2017.
